Distracted drivers might be responsible for up to 75% of the accidents on Britain’s roads, according to a study from Herriot-Watt University which looked into the main factors responsible for causing accidents.

Motorists who cause fatal accidents when they are using their mobile phones should expect to serve lengthy prison sentences, under new guidelines issued by the Sentencing Guidelines Council.
