A new report released today by the Road Safety Foundation titled Saving Lives for Less has revealed that the most dangerous 10% of roads in England, Wales and Scotland are responsible for half of all fatal accidents.

Icy weather brings a rise in trips and slips

Treacherous conditions across the UK in the wake of this week’s cold snap have led to a significant rise in the number of accidents reported.  The icy weather, which has seen temperatures drop as low as -11°C in some parts of the country, has caused thousands of accidents both on and off the roads.  Some hospitals have reported emergency admissions 50% above the level expected at this time of year. … read more

Government takes action on motorbike accidents

The government has unveiled its updated plans to improve road safety for motorcyclists. The new Motorcycling Strategy Action Plan sets out the steps the government will be taking to reduce the number of motorcyclists killed or injured on Britain’s roads.
