£2,000 Compensation for Woman Who Fell into a Trench
A woman who fell into a trench dug by workmen outside her home has been brought to a successful conclusion after the personal injury experts at Camps Solicitors were able to recover compensation for the victim, Mrs Evans. Her no win, no fee accident claim was handled by experienced litigation executive Malcolm Bell, who specialises in compensation claims involving slip, trip and fall accidents.
Mrs Evans' accident took place outside her home in the Netherton area of Liverpool. Workmen had excavated the ground in front of her property to access a gas main. The excavation restricted access to her property and whilst Mrs Evans was leaving, she lost her footing and fell into the trench, injuring her back and cutting her head. Mrs Evans went to a local hospital after the accident for treatment.
When Camps Solicitors heard of her ordeal, we knew straight away that the negligence of the company working on the gas main had led to Mrs Evans' accident. Therefore we sent out one of our client liaison officers to help Mrs Evans to fill in the forms that were needed to make her claim for compensation. We also sent her for a private medical examination so that a doctor could prepare a report on her injuries; this report would be used as evidence in her claim.
With the evidence assembled, Malcolm Bell and his colleague Paula Jones then began the negotiations with the insurance company of the contractor, pushing for Mrs Evans to receive the maximum possible compensation for her injuries. The case was a success and she received £2053 compensation for her no win, no fee claim. After her settlement cheque had been sent out, we asked Mrs Evans if she wouldn't mind making a few comments on her experiences of making a claim with Camps Solicitors, here is what she had to say:
"I was advised to use Camps Solicitors from one of their previous clients. When I arrived home from the hospital they came to my house the very next day and explained how to claim for compensation for my injuries. The service was fast, friendly and faultless. Throughout my claim I was kept up to date and informed of any changes. I had a password for their website which I could log onto to show how my case was going. However they were also only a phone call away and Paula Jones, who was appointed to look after my case was always friendly and approachable. I had no hesitation in recommending Camps Solicitors to a friend of mine who was recently involved in an accident and I would certainly recommend them again!"
