Liverpool city centre accident victim uses Camps Solicitors to claim compensation
When he was involved in an accident in Liverpool city centre that was not his fault, motorist Mr Mooney chose to use Camps Solicitors to help him to make a no-win no-fee compensation claim against the driver of the vehicle responsible for the crash. Mr Mooney's case was handled by Legal Executive Lynne Macintosh Jones, who has many years experience dealing with clients who have been injured in road traffic accidents.
Mr Mooney's accident took place on Mount Pleasant in Liverpool city centre in February last year. He had stopped at a set of traffic lights when another motorist, who had not been paying attention, drove into the rear of his vehicle, shunting it forwards and injuring Mr Mooney. In the car accident, Mr Mooney suffered soft tissue injuries to his neck that caused his discomfort for several months after the accident. When Mr Mooney contacted Camps Solicitors to make a neck injury compensation claim, we acted quickly to arrange a home visit from one of our client liaison officers to help Mr Mooney fill in the forms necessary to make a claim for personal injuries compensation.
We also arranged for him to undergo medical examination at a Liverpool hospital by a specialist in the effects of low velocity collisions. The evidence from his medical was used as part of the case assembled for Mr Mooney by Lynne and the team at Camps' Birkenhead offices.
With all the negotiations between solicitors and insurance companies taken care of by Camps, Mr Mooney was left to get on with recovering from his injury. His claim was a success and the insurance company of the other driver paid out just over £1,800 compensation to Mr Mooney. After he received his accdient compensation cheque, Mr Mooney commented on the service he had received from Camps Solicitors:
"I can only praise Camps on their expert advice and speedy service. I was originally offered a settlement of £1,500 but left it to Camps to fight my case, and within a few weeks, the offer had increased to £1,800. I have subsequently been involved in another accident where I was hit by a drink driver; Camps are dealing with this case as well. Not just on my behalf, but also on behalf of the five people who were passengers in my taxi, thank you. Throughout my claim Camps have offered me great legal and medical advice."
