Morrisons shop slipping accident victim claims compensation
When through no fault of his own he slipped in a shop, Mr Dever wanted to make a compensation claim for the injuries he had suffered due to the negligence of Morrisons supermarket. Mr Dever's slip and trip compensation claim was handled by Malcolm Bell, litigation executive and trainee solicitor, who specialises in tripping and slipping accidents.
The accident took place as Mr Dever was shopping in his local branch of Morrisons supermarket when he slipped and fell on a wet floor which had not been cleaned following a spillage. When he slipped, Mr Dever injured his knees and his back.
Mr Dever's case was taken on by Camps Solicitors, and we were able to arrange for one of our Client Liaison Officers to meet with him and help him to fill in the forms that were necessary to progress with his claim, as well as being able to answer any of Mr Dever's questions about making a claim.
After this initial face-to-face meeting, Mr Dever attended a private medical examination at a local hospital where a doctor examined his injuries and prepared a report that would be used as part of the evidence in his claim. Throughout his case, Mr Dever was able to speak with Malcolm or a member on his team and received regular updates on the progress of his case.
Thanks to the efforts of Malcolm and the rest of his team, Mr Dever's case was successful and he received £1,000 in compensation for his injuries. After his case had finished, Mr Dever was able to make some comments on the service that Camps Solicitors had provided to him throughout the case:
"Thank you for looking after my case. Throughout my case there was excellent communication and the time factor was very fast. I would recommend Camps to family and friends, an excellent service."
