Accident compensation for motorbike rider injured in non-fault accident
When motorbike rider Mr Mullen was injured in a motorbike accident that was not his fault back in 2005, he turned to Camps Solicitors to help him to make a claim for personal injuries compensation. Ged Jones, one of the associate solicitors in the firm and a specialist in dealing with non fault road traffic accident claims, was the man for the job.
Mr Mullen's accident took place when he was riding near Whitchurch; as he crossed a roundabout, another driver pulled out without warning from a side road, and collided with the side of Mr Mullen's motorbike. In the accident Mr Mullen dislocated his shoulder, and suffered neck and back injuries, he received medical treatment in a local hospital but the damage to his shoulder left him with a permanent lump.
When Mr Mullen contacted Camps Solicitors, Ged Jones and his team set to work putting together a strong case for him to receive motorcycle accident compensation for the injuries to his shoulder caused by his motorbike crash. One of our client liaison officers was sent out to help Mr Mullen to fill in the forms that were needed to begin his claim. We also arranged for a private medical appointment for Mr Mullen so that his injuries could be examined and a doctor's report prepared that would be used as evidence in his claim.
Keeping in regular contact with Mr Mullen throughout his claim, Ged Jones negotiated with the insurance company to his compensation. The claim was a success and Mr Mullen received £4,900 in compensation for his shoulder injuries. Ged Jones later commented on Mr Mullen's case:
"This case was disputed from the outset and I'm pleased to say we eventually managed to secure a good settlement for Mr Mullen after court proceedings were issued. There are many different factors to consider when dealing with motorcycle cases and the injuries suffered by Claimants are often much more serious despite protective clothing and a helmet being worn."
