Wirral Tripping Accident Victim Gets Compensation
When Mrs Leach from the Wirral attended her Doctors recently, she did not expect to come out with more injuries than she went in with.
A nasty trip and fall over some exposed scaffolding poles outside the Parkfield Medical Centre in New Ferry left Mrs Leach with pain in her legs and severe bruising to her knees. Mrs Leach also received grazes to her hands and a bruised chin. Due to her injuries she required assistance from her family in the weeks following her fall.
Mrs Leach reported the accident to the receptionist at the medical centre as well as to the workmen responsible for the construction work. The incident was recorded in the accident book at the medical centre and Mrs Leach attended hospital following the accident.
Mrs Leach contacted Camps Solicitors and expert personal injury solicitor Gareth Kinvig handled her case. The case was more complex than first appeared, as there was disagreement between the NHS trust, the company that owned the centre and the construction company over who was to be held accountable for the accident.
With legal advice from the firm, Mrs Leach's claim for slip and trip compensation was successful; the construction workers were found to have been negligent in leaving the scaffolding poles lying around in front of the medical centre. Mrs Leach received the sum of £3000 in compensation for her injuries, a course of physiotherapy to help her recover from the soft tissue damage as well as travel expenses to medical appointments.
Speaking about her experience, Mrs. Leach said:
"I found Camps Solicitors to be sympathetic, always very informative about my case and regularly kept me updated on the progress of my case and I would highly recommend them."
