Yes, if anyone needed a reminder that Hollywood A-Listers are human too, then Brad Pitt’s motorcycle accident earlier this week was proof of just that.

Mr Pitt, star of films such as Meet Joe Black, Ocean’s Eleven and the recent blockbuster Inglorious Basterds, lost control of his bike at a set of traffic lights in downtown Los Angeles and fell off. An eye witness who spoke to the celebrity website TMZ that he was attempting to weave in between vehicles while the traffic was stopped at the lights, but he lost control and fell off the motorcycle. Fortunately Mr Pitt escaped startled but otherwise unhurt from the accident.

In his movie career, Mr Pitt has been no stranger to road accidents, including one particularly memorable scene in the movie Meet Joe Black in which one of the characters he plays is hit by a car and then a van as he crosses the street. In the real world, Mr Pitt’s tumble this week was believed to have been due in part to his attempts to evade a press photographer who had been following him in a car.
