£11,000 compensation award for RTA neck injury victim

A man who was involved in an accident in Leatherhead in Surrey has benefited from the services of Camps Solicitors, after we took on his compensation claim. Our client, Mr R, received an £11,000 settlement for his neck injuries after his case was taken on by one of our Associate Solicitors, Andrew Smith.

Mr R’s accident happened as he was driving along a road in Leatherhead; another motorist was backing out from his driveway. Mr R sounded his horn to warn the other motorist of his approach, but this was ignored and the other motorist reversed into the front of Mr R’s vehicle, injuring him. The accident left Mr R with a painful neck injury that took over a year to recover from.

When Camps Solicitors took on Mr R’s claim we knew that with an injury such as his, the last thing he would want was to have lots of paperwork to fill in to make a claim. That is why we sent out one of our client liaison officers to visit Mr R at home at a time that was convenient to him. At this meeting the client liaison officer helped Mr R to fill in a few forms so that Camps had all the details we needed to go ahead with his claim. From that point on we dealt with the paperwork for Mr R, keeping him informed by telephone and letter when there were developments in his claim.

Using evidence from the engineer’s inspection of the vehicle, and from a medical report on Mr R’s injuries, Andrew Smith put together a strong case for him to receive the maximum possible compensation for a the type of neck injury he suffered. Eventually a settlement figure of £11,000 was reached for Mr R’s claim.
