When Mr O was knocked off his bicycle in a road traffic accident (RTA) that left him with a broken nose and injuries to his hands he used Camps Solicitors to make a successful compensation claim.

Mr O’s accident took place on Romford Road in North London; he was cycling along this road when he was knocked off his bicycle by a motorist. The accident left him with injuries to his face and hands, and he received medical attention at a nearby hospital. Mr O spent two weeks off work after his accident recovering from his injuries, and Camps Solicitors were able to include his lost earnings as part of his compensation claim.
When Camps Solicitors took on his case, our first task was to send someone out to visit Mr O at home to help him to fill in the forms that were necessary to make his claim. After the home visit, Mr O attended a private medical examination where a doctor prepared a medical report on his injuries that would be used as part of the evidence in his compensation claim. The negotiations with the insurance company of the other driver were handled by Sandra and the Camps Staff whilst Mr O got on with his life, and his recovery from the accident.
Mr O’s claim was successful and he received a settlement of £12,000. Afterwards, Sandra Sauvage had this to say about Mr O’s case:
“Mr. O was knocked from his bicycle by a car, and this accident was a particularly traumatic experience for him. Not only did he suffer lacerations to his face but the injury he suffered to his nose necessitated two separate surgical procedures before recovery was complete. He also suffered a tendonitis injury to his hands that required extensive and prolonged physiotherapy treatment.
We were able to arrange private treatment for Mr. O and recovered the cost of the treatment from the third party insurers which ensured that he received treatment quickly and avoided NHS waiting lists. The treatment needed by Mr. O resulted in time off work and this was a particular hardship for him as he was self-employed. However, we were able to recover his loss of earnings in full from the insurers.”
