Face-to-face meetings with a representative from Camps Solicitors
When you’ve suffered an injury in an accident that wasn’t your fault, taking time out of your routine to visit the offices of a personal injury solicitor to make your claim is probably not going to be your top priority. This is precisely the situation that a lot of our clients face after their accident; their injuries may mean they aren’t physically able to travel to our offices, and if they were involved in a road traffic accident, their car might be off the road due to any damage it suffered in the accident. This is why at Camps Solicitors, we offer a home visit service to our clients to help take the strain our of their compensation claims.

What does a home visit involve?
We offer a home visit to all of our injury claims clients, at a time and place of their choosing. This visit can take place at our client’s home or if it is more convenient, at their place of work or in a public place. All of our home visits are arranged to fit around our client’s schedules, and our client liaison team are also available for evening and weekend meetings, if weekdays are out of the questions.
Most of our home visits are conducted by our client liaison team, a nationwide network of individuals able to visit you wherever you are in England and Wales. Our client liaison officers between them have decades of experience dealing face-to-face with people who have been injured (sometimes severely) through no fault of their own and they understand how traumatic and stressful suffering a personal injury can be. In certain circumstances, often where a client’s claim might be particularly complex or where we might need to get a detailed picture of how their injuries have affected their daily life, then one of our solicitors may conduct a home visit in person.
The home visit is an opportunity to ask any questions you might have about the process of making a claim. Our client liaison officers will be able to answer most of these questions, although for more complex questions, our solicitors are always available by telephone during office hours. As well as answering your questions, at the home visit the client liaison officer will bring along all the paperwork we need you to sign in order to get your case moving. The client liaison officer is there to help you to fill in this paperwork and they will also take a statement from you concerning the circumstances of the accident.
This statement of accident circumstances gives you the opportunity to tell your side of the story. This can be especially important in cases where the person who caused the accident is denying responsibility, as your solicitor can help to make sure your statement says exactly what happened, to avoid any confusion later on in your case. We also use the home visit as an opportunity to get as much information as possible from you about any witnesses who might have seen the accident, or any details about other people who were involved.
