Carlisle accident at work causes a broken leg
Allan Miller from Carlisle may be thinking about making a no win no fee leg injury accident claim after having his leg broken at work.
This comes as tyre giant Pirelli have been fined £9,000 after Mr Miller was hit by a forklift truck, leaving him with an injury that has prevented him from working since October 2008.
The firm was found guilty of breaching health and safety rules after it was discovered that they failed to properly manage the risk to pedestrians in the area of the factory.
Michael Griffiths, of the Health and Safety Executive, remarked that “Mr Miller had not been made aware that the area had been designated a pedestrian-free zone.”
Pirelli expressed their “deepest regrets” following the ruling and insisted that they now had more stringent health and safety rules in place.
