Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), which is also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), can be caused by injury to the nervous system, which leads to severe pain for those affected. Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy / Complex Regional Pain Syndrome
If you have been in an accident that may have caused RSD/CRPS, often the first signs of the illness are feelings of pain much greater than would be expected from your injuries. Other symptoms include sensations of burning pain, or coldness around the injury. Changes of temperature in the area around the injury can make it very sensitive and is often accompanied by swelling and changes in skin colour.
